Jim Farmer
Jim Farmer (b. 1951, American) is an artist, composer and playwright with studios in Manhattan, New York and Litchfield, Connecticut. Farmer's collage-like paintings incorporate overlapping imagery from various sources, including literal objects, art, interior and, exterior landscapes. Farmer's compositions can be eclectic, featuring different moods, styles, and sources within a single canvas. His colorful compositions are layered with different figures, patterns, and memories, creating a sense of fluidity and surprise reminiscent of film montage.
